First lets discuss what blackheads are so we all understand. Blackheads on face are just sebum, oil, dirt and dead skin in a pore. the larger the pore the worse the blackhead will look. Blackhead face cleaning methods

Because blackheads can be below the surface of the skin or have a film on the face that’s kind of like a little blanket over the blockhead it’s a good idea to clean your face before putting on any of the masks for blackheads. Cleaning the face first will enable the blackhead mask to work more effectively.

Using steam to open the pores is pretty common but you have to be very careful that you don’t burn yourself. You can boil the water on the stove and then just take the pan off the stove and hold your face above the steam. It should feel warm but not burning. If it’s to hot, move your face up a little higher. You can also put a towel over your head to help trap the steam and it makes you feel like your in a sauna but if that’s to much steam just hold your head over it. Having open pores and a clean face is important for you blackheads mask to work.

The other steaming method is quite simple. Just put some water, about half full, in a medium sized bowl and put it in the microwave until it’s hot enough to make it steam. Other than using the microwave to heat the water nothing is different from the instructions above.

Try to keep your face over the bowl for 15-30 seconds, whatever is most comfortable for you, then lift your head up take a few breaths and do the same thing again. 3 repetitions should be enough for almost everyone who wants to remove blackheads with a mask.

After you have your face steamed, wash it using an exfoliant scrub and dry it in the normal manner. The exfoliant scrub is important as it will break up the film layer over the blackheads and allow the mask to remove blackheads on face.

Homemade masks for blackheads

Making your own masks to remove blackheads is a great idea. It’s generally much cheaper than buying blackhead masks so you save money but you also know exactly what the ingredients are and they will almost always all be natural ingredients. That means your masks for blackheads aren’t as likely to cause an allergic reaction.

The first of the homemade masks for blackheads uses things you probably allready have. All it takes is one tablespoon of unflavored gelatin which you can get quite cheaply at the grocery store and one tablespoon of milk. You also need a microwave oven to heat up the mixture.

Put one tablespoon of the gelatin and 1 tablespoon of the milk into a small cup and then stir it up til it’s dissolved and getting a bit mushy. Put the contain into the microwave for 10 seconds or less and when done test it with the tip of a finger or on the back of your hand to make sure it’s not going to be to hot for your face.

Now your ready to put your blackhead mask to use to get rid of the blackheads on your nose. When you know it’s not to hot apply a thin layer of the mixture all over your nose. You want your nose completley covered with the blackhead mask but not so think it takes forever to dry. When it’s dry, 5-15 minutes, depending on how thick you put it on, just peel it off slowly and you will see all the junk and blackheads you just removed from your nose. Wash your face normally when you are done. That’s one of the simple masks for blackheads.

Then there are the fruit and oatmeal masks for blackheads. The easiest mask is made from avocado. Just mash it up and put it on your face for about 15 minutes then rinse it off with water and a soft washcloth.

Then there’s the banana oatmeal mask and it’s made with one medium ripe banana. It has to be ripe enough so it’s soft. Then use 1/3 cup of oatmeal and mash it and the banana together until it’s mixed well. If it’s a little to thin add some more oatmeal. Leave it on for 15 minutes or so and wash it off.

This next of the masks for blackheads on face uses yogurt and the juice from an orange. Really half an orange or less. Mix 1 tablespoon of the yogurt and the juice from the orange and apply it to your face. Leave it on for 5 minutes or so and then wash it off with warm water. It’s good for your skin but I’m not sure it’s going to work well as a blackheads mask.

You might want to try this last one as it’s also a really easy blackhead mask. Just spread a thin layer of Elmers white glue on your nose and let it dry. When it’s dry, peel it off and the blackheads will come right out. Make sure you eave it on until it’s thoroughly dry as it won’t work at all if it’s not dry. You might also want to test this mask on a small spot of your skin before you put it on your nose. There might be something in it you are allergic to.

There you have it, a few masks for blackheads on face that are cheap and easy to use. If you’ve tried everything else give a blackhead mask a try and see if it works for you.
